A DAY IN THE LIFE

As an account manager with us, you will take the lead in driving customer success and business growth. Your primary focus will be on developing and expanding customer relationships, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service. You will be the linchpin in managing freight bookings, reviewing pickups and deliveries, and collaborating with our top-tier business development and operations team to drive results.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Engagement — Develop relationships with customers to align on expectations, address inquiries, and identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Driver Collaboration — Collaborate closely with drivers to answer questions and ensure that they have the necessary load information.
  • Analyze and Review KPIs — Understand and analyze relevant KPIs along with market trends to develop strategies to enhance your regions profitability.
  • Business Development — Identify new business opportunities by discovering and onboarding new customers as well as strengthening business relationships with current customers.
  • Team Collaboration — Effectively collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-levels of communication and seamless customer experience.
  • Review Rates— Review customer contract rates to ensure accuracy and alignment with current market conditions.

YOUR SKILLSET

  • Sales Success — Demonstrated ability to drive profitability along with proven experience in identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent Communication — Strong communication skills to interact and develop strong relationships with customers, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Time Management — The ability to manage your time and effectively prioritize competing responsibilities in an environment with frequently shifting deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving — Demonstrated experience identifying, analyzing, and solving complex problems in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in logistics, business management, or a related field and at least five (5) years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field. An equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered.
  • At least two (2) years of experience managing staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management, or a related field and at least seven (7) years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field. An equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the transportation or logistics industries.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE

  • Salary — Pay will be commensurate with experience.
  • Schedule — Full-time; On-Site; Monday to Friday; Quarterly on-call rotation.
